On December 12, 1953, twenty seven business and professional women from the Tampa area gathered at the Floridan Hotel for the Charter meeting of the Altrusa International Club of Tampa, local affiliate of the International Organization, founded in 1917. Our Organization is dedicated to providing community service, developing leadership, fostering understanding, and encouraging fellowship.
