Altrusa International of Tampa, a service club organized in 1953 as a member club of Altrusa International, Inc., established the Altrusa International of Tampa - Wilma B. Hogan Foundation, Inc., in 1999 honoring one of its most devoted and dedicated members, Wilma B. "Billie" Hogan. The Foundation was made possible by "Billie's" generous bequest to the club to further its program of service to the community and the club members' desires to continue and expand areas of service. Grants will be made to approved organizations or individuals.

GRANTSGrants to community service organizations may be considered to further programs that assist in meeting community needs. Grants to individuals may be made for such purposes as furthering education, self-improvement and other means to assist in obtaining employment, which in general will bring about self-sufficiency and self-realization. Some of the organizations which have received grants are: Dress For Success Life Enrichment Center Child Abuse Center Haven Poe Runaway Center American Cancer - Hope Lodge St. John Learning Center Joshua House Plant City Children's Theatre Ybor City Museum Society Wheels of Success |

APPLICATIONS
Applications for grants may be obtained from the Foundation in writing addressed to:
Altrusa International of Tampa Wilma B. Hogan Foundation, Inc. P.O. Box 18875 Tampa. Florida 33679-8875
Applications must be completed in full and submitted to the above address. They will be processed by the Foundation's Board of Directors following the guidelines of the Mission Statement. Applicants will be notified as soon as a decision is made.
